Extreme Sport Beans

The beans are a bit too much like candy to work for me during an event. They are too easy to eat without paying attention. I guess that is a positive for some since they go down easy, but in the past I have eaten too many and ended up with an upset stomach. I prefer the more natural Honey Stinger chews.

Extreme Sport Beans - no mess
Greg Kogut (San Diego, CA) 4/17/2011 8:02 PM
I like Sport Beans on the bike because they're easy to take in at high speed, and don't cause a mess like gels can if you're not careful. And you don't have to worry if you drop a few, like with blocks/chews. They taste pretty good, though a bit more salty than the candy version, and with caffeine. I normally take in liquid nutrition, but beans can break up the monotony.

Extreme Sports Beans

I like these although for really long races the taste gets to be too much. I can get them down right before a run or on a bike ride but during a long run they just are too sweet.
