Nathan HPL #028

Purchased the HPL #028 for my wife to use for training and races. While I own the HPL #020 and love it, she really wanted a lighter weight pack. We bought a 1.5 liter bladder (Camelback instead of the Nathan), and it fits perfectly in the back pocket. I trimmed the tube to fit into the drawstring pocket on the right strap, and it's as if they were designed to go together. The pockets fit plenty of gels for fuel, and even fully loaded with the bladder this thing weighs practically nothing. The design of the pack allows your sweat glands on your back to breath, and you honestly forget it's there. Gone are the days of stashing water bottles along a route, or carrying a handheld that requires constant rotation between hands. My only mention would be that the pack we received appears to be an older model (not the one in the pictures on the site). The older model doesn't have the enclosed pocket on the left strap (instead it has a mesh pocket), and the sternum strap doesn't have the ability to clip the hose to it. My #020 has the updated features, and they are definitely nice to have. She ran a half marathon today, using the pack for the first time, and set a new PR...so she's happy! *(RunJunk) - The online image has been corrected to show the current version of the 028 Pak.
