Almost perfect!
Elizabeth Reynolds (San Diego, CA) 4/6/2011 4:18 PM
I have had Accel Gel for 4 years now, and "if it's not broken, don't fix it!" The extra protein I feel helps with muscle break down. It is thicker than GU, so you need to be careful not to take too much during a race. Every 6-7 miles is enough. The strawberry Kiwi seems to be the best flavor for me, I can always take that. Accel Gel is far superior to Clif shots, IMO, but I haven't tried their "new formula"!

Accel chocolate still one of my favorites
Bree Witteveen (Kodiak, AK) 4/1/2011 9:08 AM
I've tried a lot of gels and Accel remains one of my go to gels. The chocolate flavor is especially tasty, but I always prefer chocolate over the fruit flavors. Vanilla isn't bad either. I really like the mix of carbs and protein and think it has helped me sustain my energy through longer efforts (i.e. during marathons). I like Accel gels better than many of their other products, including Accelerade. I will continue to buy chocolate for the foreseeable future.
